This year\, we’re also honoring a remarkable milestone—the 75th anniversary of the very first public whale-watching event\, which took place right here at Cabrillo National Monument. \n🌊 Attend presentations by marine and conservation experts from WILDCOAST\, American Cetacean Society of San Diego\, NOAA Fisheries West Coast\, Hubbs-SeaWorld Research Institute\, and Scripps Institute of Oceanography.\n🪸 Enjoy hands-on exhibits and activities hosted by various ocean and environmental organizations\n🐋 Spot whales at the Whale Overlook with the help of park volunteers and staff\n🎨 Enjoy creative\, ocean-inspired crafts for all ages in the visitor center\n📚 Tune in to whale-themed children’s book readings \nThis festival is a chance for visitors to learn about the importance of our oceans\, to connect with conservation and science experts across San Diego\, and engage with the community to support marine preservation! \nThis event is proudly sponsored by Cabrillo National Monument Foundation.
