WILDCOAST has named Tito Marchant as the Senior Director of Conservation and Rewilding!
Originally from Santiago, Chile, Tito brings over 28 years of experience in conservation biology, habitat restoration, and natural resources management to WILDCOAST. In his new role, he will oversee a growing portfolio of innovative conservation, restoration, and rewilding projects in the United States and Mexico.
“We are very happy to have Tito join our growing team,” said Serge Dedina, our Executive Director. “He will help us expand our blue carbon restoration programs along the Pacific coast and develop stewardship and monitoring programs for our extensive rewilding projects.”
Tito’s marine and coastal experience includes serving as Vice President & Principal-In-Charge of Natural Resources Management at AECOM; President & Principal Ecologist at Ecological Conservation & Management; and Ecology Director at Nature Collective. He began his conservation career as the Little Corona Marine Protected Area Biologist and Naturalist for the Upper Newport Bay Ecological Reserve in Newport Beach, California.
Tito earned a B.S. in Biology from UC Irvine with a concentration in environmental ecology and pursued graduate studies in ecology and evolution at UC Irvine.
