STEPS TO GET INVOLVED

1. Watch this general marine protected area video

2. Explore the MPA Watch website to ensure you would like to commit to the program

3. Complete the WILDCOAST Waiver of Liability

4. Register for an in-person MPA Watch training event. This training will occur at Scripps Beach in La Jolla and will include an overview of marine protected areas, a walkthrough of data collection protocols, and a group trial run of a beach transect. All training materials will be provided, just come ready to walk on the beach.
