Tijuana River Action Month a success for the 5th year in a row!

This past Saturday WILDCOAST celebrated the final event of the Tijuana River Action Month for 2014. We had a fantastic year and engaged 2,215 participants in stewardship activities and events to help prevent over 66,000 pounds of ocean bound trash from reaching the Pacific Ocean at the Tijuana River Mouth.

WILDCOAST is thrilled to be able to be a part of this effort and play an active role in the Tijuana River Action Network that is made of local groups and stakeholders interested in conserving the Tijuana River Watershed. This event was made possible by the help of awesome sponsors and supporters such as REI, Lifeproof, Surfrider Foundation, 4Walls, I Love A Clean San Diego, California State Parks, Pronatura, Friends of Friendship Park, Proyecto Fronterizo, California Wetlands Restoration Program, SDGE, the San Diego Foundation and Patagonia.
