WILDCOAST’s Mangroves Program protects and restores critical mangrove forests that serve as nurseries for marine life, natural buffers against storms, and powerful carbon sinks. Working alongside local communities and government partners, we conserve mangroves through habitat protection, restoration efforts, education, and advocacy to strengthen coastal resilience and support healthy ocean ecosystems. WILDCOAST is creating blue and green jobs throughout Mexico, empowering cooperatives of women to protect their villages and natural resources, and to address climate change through the restoration and expansion of these blue carbon ecosystems.
